Provincial Lockdown

Provincial Lockdown

Dec 21, 2020

With the official announcement coming this afternoon, we find ourselves in another lockdown. We understand and share the fatigue that is being felt across our community. Classes scheduled on Wednesday December 23rd will remain as scheduled and these classes will be the final classes, before we enter another lockdown on Saturday December 26th.

As seen in the previous shut down, we took many measures to help our community keep moving. Rest assure the same measure are already being taken and this time we armor ourselves with experience. In order to pivot during this time, our team has been investing time to prepare. Not all details are confirmed or finalized, so we will be taking next week to finalize our plan. We are happy to announce that we are taking measures to assure that our community remains focused during this time and a revised digital plan will be announced in the coming days. Our digital format will incorporate some ideas from our previous shut down and as well we will be introducing new measures to promote community interaction.

What we ask of our community during this difficult time, is to remain focused on the variables that are within our control. Routine is key at this time and with the holidays here, it will be easy to venture off the healthy routine that many of you have made for yourselves. We all are human, so enjoy some comfort and fun. Remain focused by keeping a routine and get back to that routine after a few days of fun.

One thing that I do for myself is to give myself an expiration date. By this I mean I mark a day on the calendar that I allow myself to have fun until, but once that day comes I know it is time to get to work. Try it out; give yourself that time frame and mark a day on your calendar that gets you back to your healthy routine. Don’t wait until January 1st to consider that day, pick up your phone or calendar now and mark the day immediately!

To help our community get back to a healthy routine, we will be taking the coming days to prepare our digital program. Please look for coming announcements about our revised digital plan. We appreciate your patience and with a communal effort we will get through this once again!
