CFW’s newest class – “Outside The Box”
We are striving forward at CFW and next week we will be bringing you a new class! We would like to announce the “Outside The Box” class. Starting Monday, November 23, you will notice the class option on the MindBody schedule. Please recognize the differences between the classes that are available at CFW and follow all Covid restrictions at this time.
“Outside The Box”
This class is designed to allow you to keep up in your routine at CFW, despite the limitations implemented by the Region’s restrictions. The workout will remain the same as the “WOD” class, to allow you to safely move around the facility. The class will not have a Coach present, and it will flow at your pace. However, it will run parallel and in series to the “WOD” class, which will allow time to address any questions prior to the class. This means that the “Outside the Box” class will start and end at the same time as the “CFW WOD” class. If you have any questions prior to the class, please be sure to talk to the Coach on site. The class size will be limited to 10 members per class, sign up is required, and all regular class etiquette will remain the same. With the freedom to move at your own pace, this will allow you to warm up specifically to honour your body and as it requires. Just in case you are out of ideas or not sure how to warm up, there will be a warm-up written on the Whiteboard that you can flow through that will match our “Outside The Box” YouTube channel warm up. Of course, you can always find inspiration around you if you wish for other warm-up ideas.
“Functions”
Functions Classes have been designed to bridge the gap (if necessary) between our Intro classes and our CFW WOD classes. Our goal is to encourage anyone with severe movement restrictions, weight struggles, past injuries, and any other limiting issues to improve their quality of life. This is done by using the every day functional movements that are the foundation of CFW’s philosophy, and scaling them for you, based on what you’re able to accomplish in your current capacity. This class is very similar to our CFW WOD, however we put more focus on restoring range of motion and function in your body. Expect some extra mobility work, neurological based restorative drills, and some classic physio exercises to get you back to being a fully Functional being. Nurture your body here.
“CFW WOD”
This CrossFit style class is our main attraction. Our goal here is to balance ALL of your Fitness needs, and have some fun along the way. The entire class is guided by a world class Coach and will be individually tailored based on your ability and how you are feeling that day. Our leading edge warm ups will properly prepare your body and nervous system to set you up for success (and safety) in the WOD. By joining our classes you don’t need to worry about what to do or how to do it. Just show up, honor your body, follow our guidance, and we will take it from there to get you the amazing results we see every day at CFW. Get the attention, gain the guidance, enjoy the benefits!
“Express”
Our Express class allows you to get your workout done within 45 minutes of your day. This class is offered to start your day and at lunch time. The class follows the “CFW WOD” class structure, with modifications in the warm-up and skill of the day. A Coach will lead you through the class for the 45 minutes. All that is left is to show up and do the work.
