CFW Back in Business… and a bonus Challenge to add to the excitement!
Good Day CFW Community,
As you all may have heard by now, our inevitable return to action is finally here! We hope you are all as excited reading that message as we are saying it. We just received the green light from our provincial authorities earlier today, and we will be opening up classes at our facility this Friday July 17th. We have been busy cleaning, organizing, and preparing our new procedures/logistics for this day to come… and we are ready for you!
We see that some of you are hard at work completing our YouTube daily workouts, while some of you are working hard on that ‘Covid-bod’ on the couch and may need a little more motivation to get back in for some routine action. Regardless of where you are on that spectrum, we have a little something planned for you all to get back on the health and success gain train ASAP. We will be kicking off our reopening at CFW with a Challenge to get everyone back in the groove!
The 6-week challenge will start in early August to give everyone a few weeks after we reopen for a short “preseason” to work out the kinks in their routines (and body’s). We are going to treat this challenge as if it’s a brand-new start with your fitness and health relationship, since it may feel like that anyways once we start moving again. Plus who doesn’t love a fresh start?!
In this challenge we will be providing you with:
- A personal accountability coach that will guide you through a goal setting session to create achievable 6 week results, a specific strategy to achieve these goals, and some ongoing tracking metrics to keep you motivated to stay on course.
- Accountability check ins with your coach (and a team) throughout the challenge via Zoom, emails, blogs, and more.
- Some fun weekly challenges for bonus marks… and more emphasis on the fun.
This challenge will be completely free of charge as another thank you to our amazing community for having our backs throughout this crazy shut down. We couldn’t have survived without you and we want to open up with helping you achieve your goals, and put your results at the top of our list going forward with this challenge. We will have much more details of the logistics of this challenge coming soon, so as always keep your eyes on our blog for more details!
Things, however, will be a little different once we open our doors. Different in one way because we have made some sweet changes to our facility and to our brand that we are sure you will love. But also, we will need to make some adjustments to our procedures to keep our community safe, happy, and of course HEALTHY. As always, that is our top priority. Hopefully, many of these safety precautions will be for the short term as we work through this pandemic.
Here are some of the changes we will see in effect as soon as we open:
- We will be social distancing once inside our facility. That means our class sizes will be capped for the first time since our move to Parkside a few years ago. However, we are very fortunate to have one of the biggest strength and conditioning gyms in the region, so even with the spacing, we will still accommodate a large number of members per class!
- Signing up on Mind Body before you arrive to our facility will be MANDATORY to make sure there is space for everyone to safely arrive and to have room to stay distanced. The good news is that most of you already do sign up for our classes ahead of time, and that there will be no need for burpee penalties for those that don’t haha!
- We will control the flow of traffic. Our members will enter through the shared entrance with Crunch, sterilize their hands, and then may exit through our bay doors (optional) if they are able to safely do so.
- There will be changes to our schedule. We will start with slightly reduced hours in order to space out our classes by at least 30 minutes. That way every class will have 15 minutes after their hour to pack their gear and exit the building before the next group may arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of their class. We will also need this extra time throughout the day and week for our revamped cleaning and sterilizing procedures, so you will see some closed times throughout the week to reflect that.
- We will also need some cooperation on our members end to keep things clean. We will ask that you wipe everything down that you have used after each class. We will also no longer be able to provide chalk buckets for obvious reasons. You may bring some liquid chalk for personal use, or try gloves as that may help with grip. Also, if you could bring a full water bottle and come changed in your workout gear that would be helpful. This will minimize contact with the Crunch side of the facility and minimize the amounts of people using our common areas.
- Face masks will be worn by CFW coaches. Also, we expect you guys to do the same when entering the building. As we start getting into strenuous cardio movements, you will be able to remove the masks. At that point we will be safely distanced.
We know you may still have some questions for us with respect to these procedures mentioned above, and likely more potential procedure inquiries. We will be releasing another blog/email in the coming days with much more specifics about our procedures, schedule changes, and anything else that will be affected with this reopening.
Thanks everyone!
