Armor Your Mind & Body
Today marks 8-weeks before the first workout of the 2021 CrossFit Open. The CrossFit Open has been a long-standing tradition at CFW that has been providing a fun, inspiring, and fulfilling experience year after year! Athletes of all skill levels, experience, and ages come together to share their common reasons to compete in the Open. Fitness, Community, Family, Health, Competition, and Joy!Â
This year the CrossFit Open presents a multitude of ways to compete:Â

- Compete at CFW (if restrictions allow)
- Compete from home with equipment
- Compete from home with NO equipment
Yes, you heard it! You can compete at home with no equipment at all! Bodyweight workouts are the foundation of CrossFit training. Pull-ups, push-ups, squats, situps etc… You don’t need all the fancy equipment or shiny barbells; all you need is yourself.Â
We realize that the circumstances this year has brought us have made it difficult to find the motivation and discipline to work out by yourself with limited equipment.Â
However, the CFW team is here to keep you strong, motivated, accountable, and resilient to keep your momentum going and take on any obstacle physically or mentally that comes your way.Â
What can you control?
- Movement – Moving consistently to strengthen your mind and body
- Nutrition – Provide your body with the fuel to move, and thrive
- Recovery – Recover and rebound with the mental and physical energy to keep you in the fight
- Mindset – Focusing on your actions, and what you can do to be better
What you can’t control?
- Social Media – What other people are doing or saying?
- Weather – How cold, snowy, hot, dull the weather is
- Covid – How long will it last? What the restrictions will be?
- Equipment – Not having a specific weight or piece of equipment to do a workout
You can have excuses or results, but you can’t have both!
This year’s CFW Open camp is not only for the Open. It is designed to help you develop a new strategy, perspective, and mentality on how to steer your health and fitness journey towards your goals no matter what circumstances we are presented with.Â
Who is the camp for?
- You are limited in equipment and you want to find ways to still progress and move forward with your fitness goals
- Looking for more training specific to your goals such as strength, cardio, skill, range of motion, or perform better in the Open!Â
- Looking to shed those holiday/covid pounds, to look better, move faster, and perform better through training
- You want motivation, accountability, a mentor to support you and your health and fitness goals
Registration for the CFW Camp is open and will be closing soon! Registration for the CFW Open Camp closes January 22nd and the camp will start on February 1st!Â
