Reopening and Indoor Class Details

Reopening and Indoor Class Details

Jul 17, 2021

Hello CFW!

It is so exciting to be writing this blog to give you the details for returning to INDOOR CLASSES! It’s something we have long been waiting for and it’s finally here. I want to take a moment to thank every one of you again for your generous support and encouragement. We would not be here, ready to resume classes, if not for you!!

There have been a lot of changes over the past 18 months, some back and forth restrictions and many adjustments to life in general. We want to make sure everyone is aware of what class at CFW will look like right now so please take a minute to go over the details below. If you have any questions about what you read or anything related, let us know.

The Schedule

The class schedule has been finalized and will be available for you to sign up in the next 24 hours.

**If you were already signed up for an Outside the Box or Functions session next week, you will remain signed up.

Please check your Mindbody account to confirm your schedule**

You may notice that our class schedule is lighter than in the past. This is very temporary. As we settle into running classes again and attendance increases, we will be adding more classes. This decision has been made based on the number of people attending classes regularly so if you’d like to see more classes on the schedule, vote with your attendance! We will be adding more classes as we see our numbers going up.

We have heard that many of you are excited to come back to CFW, now that classes are resuming, but we still can’t be sure exactly how many people will be coming each day. Again, as we see this lighter class schedule filling up, we will add more class options.

The schedule has been finalized for the next couple weeks, but more changes could come as soon as August (which is only two weeks away!!) and we look forward to being back to a full schedule soon.

Class Options

When the new schedule is posted, you will see 4 different class options. Check out the details below to help you determine which classes to sign up for.

  1. CFW WOD – our indoor classes will resume on Monday, July 19 and will feel much like the good ol’ days. These classes will be 1 hour and have a capacity of 20 people. With a 20 person class, CFW will be below the 50% allowed capacity and will be able to surpass the social distancing recommendations.
  2. Outside the Box – will still be an option! Many of you have shared with us the progress you’ve made the last few months having had the opportunity to address your health needs in an open gym setting and we are happy to be able to keep this option available. Outside the Box will be on the schedule before class in the morning and noon time blocks. You can use this time to personalize your warm-up before class or work on extra programming.
  3. CFW WOD/Outside the Box – Outside the Box Open Gym will also be available at the same time as the afternoon classes. If you are thinking of returning to CFW but aren’t ready to be back in a group class setting, this option is also for you! You can sign up for class in any of our afternoon time slots and either join the CFW WOD group or follow along on your own.
  4. Functions – Our Functions crew can keep on rocking on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 5:45pm and on Saturday at 11:00am. These classes will have a capacity of 12 to ensure everyone can feel safe and comfortable, with lots of space and equipment options.

Some Friendly Reminders

As we get back into the swing of things with indoor classes, we understand it may take some time to remember old routines and (re)form new habits. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Enter through Crunch Fitness – the CFW bay door has been our main entrance for the last couple months, but it’s time to get back in the habit of using the Crunch Fitness doors. The bay door will be closed again when the fall weather comes so let’s use this time to break the habit of entering through the bay door.
  • Don’t forget your mask – Please be sure to wear your mask when entering the building and leave it on until you are settled at your workout station. If you choose to take your mask off at that time, you are free to do so. That means that everyone should be wearing their mask as we gather around the whiteboard and walk around the room to gather equipment.
  • Help us keep CFW clean by cleaning your equipment – there will be time at the end of each class/open gym session to clean your equipment and get things put away. Thank you for your help in keeping CFW clean and organized by wiping down and putting away all equipment used during your warm-up and workout.

Thank you again for your patience as we have worked out the logistics of moving to Stage 3. We look forward to seeing many of you in class next week.
