As we have heard from our community and see the attendance going up in the evenings, we are excited to have Thursdays on the schedule. Today marks our first Thursday availability at CFW, so what will you do at the gym?! Whether you had a busy week or are looking for an active recovery workout, Thursdays are a great way to help you stay active and let the body recovery.


A body in motion stays in motion

Active recovery takes rest days up a notch and helps maintain consistency to your routine. Lighter exercise will still get your body active and fired up but provides a gentle way to loosen up and keep a consistent schedule. This may look different for everyone, so keep in mind that an active recovery day can be whatever increases your heart rate enough to get nutrient-rich, oxygenated blood flowing, refreshing, and revitalizing any muscle soreness that you may be experiencing. Always listen to and honour your body by knowing your level of soreness, tightness, abilities, or inabilities to optimize your training on Thursday’s.

It’s not about the intensity that you may give to your workouts on other days. It may be a slower, but intentional and gentle approach to your workout. If you are not sure about what is best for you, then please talk to a CFW coach.


Missed a Workout recently?

Perhaps you are not looking for an active recovery day and life got busy this week. Well, this is another great opportunity to come in for that workout. We recommend that our community members work towards maintaining a schedule that provides 4 workouts per week (on average). However, we understand that at times this can be tough and having the ability to access CFW on Thursdays will help you correct this.


Programming

Accessing previous workouts can be done through TrainHeroic, so be sure to have your TrainHeroic account set up. If you are not set up, please access the Intake survey by clicking here. Additionally, Thursdays are a communal day that you may use to create your own workout or do a workout that you have seen somewhere else. Any hesitations about a workout can be discussed with a CFW Coach to assure you optimize the workout for your goals.

 

Whether it is an active recovery workout, or making up a missed workout, we are excited to be able to provide an additional evening to our community. Through your support, we have managed during these trying times and growing the schedule reflects your attendance and support!
